About this Blog

This Blog is dedicated to my Mother in Law (MIL)Ong Swee Tin which I sometime teased her with her English name Helen. Many men may have suffered under their MIL hands but for me who is a Malay and she being a Chinese who is not an English speaking person, we got along very well together. I believe we communicated with our Hearts and we respect each other. We expect nothing from each other and give full understandings to the needs of others.

When I first met her, I was literary shivering not knowing what to expect from a lady and iron lady of a different race, living in the Chinese neighbourhood, may have not met any Malay guy before and now coming to take her eldest daughter away. Surprisingly, she came out of the house to tell me to take another round and wait for her daughter. I was expecting someone who will scream and shout at me for embarrassing her in her neighbourhood trying to tackle her eldest daughter.

Cant remember much after that but I know whenever I was in the house I was treated with respect and courtesy. She is not someone who question you or pry on your private life. Whatever it is I was made welcome all the time.
